Principal's Message- Polly Schultz

Dear Parents and Community Members:

Welcome to Ironwood, home of the Thunderbolts! My name is Polly Schultz, and I am the very proud principal of this wonderful Community of Caring School!

I am a product of the Washington Elementary School District. As a child, I attended Richard E. Miller, Royal Palm and Palo Verde. I taught for 18 years at Ocotillo and John Jacobs. I was also a program coach at John Jacobs for four years. For the last two years, I was the assistant principal at Shaw Butte. Now, as I enter my 25th year in education, I have the privilege of being your child’s principal and working with a wonderful group of caring educators.

Since my appointment as principal, I have been overjoyed at the welcome by the community and staff of Ironwood and I am very excited to call this my new home. I strive to uphold the mission and values of our District and our school and believe that every child deserves a quality education in a safe environment where all staff members foster the well being of the students we serve. I value your input and please know that I am available to answer your questions, listen to your feedback, engage in discussion, or simply chat about your child. I have an open-door policy and truly believe that parents and guardians are children’s first and most important teacher. You have a choice in your child’s education, and I would like to personally thank you for choosing Ironwood Elementary for your child’s education. I look forward to meeting all of you!

It’s going to be an AMAZING year for the Thunderbolts! Please call if you have any questions.
